We would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands on which we will gather: The Jagera, Giabal, and Jarowair People, their Elders, past, present and emerging. We acknowledge the ongoing connection that Aboriginal people have to this land and recognise Aboriginal people as the original custodians​​
Our Story
Created by Sundried Events, our festival has been gaining support from the global festival community since its inception in 2021. There is no place you'd rather be on NYE than with us at INITIATION! Our festival is designed to bring together people from all over the world to celebrate the beginning of the new year in style.
INITIATION #2 After Movie
From its inception, Initiation Festival aimed to offer an immersive experience that connects attendees with interdisciplinary artistic forms.
As the festival grew, it expanded to include a wide range of performances and creative presentations, always emphasising artistic diversity and a commitment to quality.
Fun Fact: Initiation Festival ran for three consecutive years during Mercury retrograde, a period often associated with disruptions and delays. This year marks a new chapter, as for the first time in five years, the festival will run without the influence of this retrograde phase, promising a smoother and more seamless experience.

Our festival takes place in stunning natural settings, and we believe in honouring and protecting these environments.
